The Software Quality Accreditation Working Party (SQAWP) was established in June 2004 to examine the importance of software quality accreditation to the development of the Australian software sector.
The report was released by the Minister on 18 February 2005.
Software Engineering Quality Centres program
The Software Engineering Quality Centres Program provided funding from 1997 to 2003 to increase the competitiveness and technological sophistication of the software industry in Australia. Funding included the establishment of Software Engineering Australia National (SEA National), an independent, not-for-profit software process improvement organisation. In March 2005 SEA National announced its closure, with SEA's training and consulting services being sold to Oject Consultations Pty Ltd and the Australian Information Industry Association being selected to apply residual funding on programs for the local software industry.
